Style Guide | Buy Your Size!

Heyy Y’all

It has definitely been a while since we last spoke but with my Lupus and complications with my Hemodialysis access, its been a bumpy end of 2018. Today’s post is inspired by a Facebook post from one of my followers that spoke to my heart y’all! It said the following ” A little fashion tip I’d like to share, BUY CLOTHES THAT FITT!!! Honestly, stop stressing about how you use to be able to fit such a size or you were so much bigger before so you don’t know your size, that’s in the past, stop living in the past!” There was much more but I’m pretty sure you guys get the point.

With the changes I have experienced in my own body shape and size from medications associated with having Lupus and  Kidney Failure, I have definitely had to come to terms with adjusting my clothing to fit my current size and begin purchasing plus size clothing. It may not seem like a big deal, but when you go from being able to buy from pretty much any store without trying anything on to now trying to find clothing in your size because every store doesn’t carry plus size… IT’S A BIG DEAL! Plus size has definitely gotten better as far as style but not wearing your correct size is not better than walking around like a over stuffed sausage… THAT AINT CUTE YALL!

If you are looking for some great plus size looks, definitely try online. I have had much success with sites like Boohoo.com and Amazon.com has a bunch of different trendy pieces. I wasn’t too excited for the changes in my body, but I’m Stuntin’ on Em today Y’all! LOL

  1. Super cute outfit Ciara! I love pairing b&w polka dot with red. I can relate with regards to weight gain. I put on about 30 lbs way after giving birth (so it’s not “baby weight” LOL!) and adjusting to buying 3 sizes up even tough. I do buy my size but I’m holding on to those size 6s as if they’ll fit again. LOL!

    1. lol thanks so much for the love! Yeah girl i won’t be losing any weight until I’m off these med lol so I’m slowly letting go of stuff I can’t fit on posh mark, it’s hard tho lol
