Outfit of the Day | Mixing Patterns for Memorial

Hey yall!

Yesterday was an amazing evening! I was able to attend my first Florida hosted Memorial of Jesus Christ! It was such a great feeling to be reminded of how Jesus gave his life for imma giving us the opportunity to no longer deal with sickness and death and be able to live forever in peace on a restored earth. Battling This Chronic Illness Lupus and dealing with End Stage Kidney Disease can really take a toll on the most happiest person, so I really appreciate a moment as special as this. Of course, I couldn’t go to the Memorial looking any ole’ way, so I settled for some mixing of prints.
Mixing prints can be a tricky task of you don’t do its right way. I chose an easier route, focusing on pattern and color, by  having a solid patterned top with a printed pattern skirt paired with neutral accessories!
Check out my outfit of the evening!

Ok so I have been very inspired by all the black girls going natural these days! I have always loved crazy curls and big cool hair so I have started what they call the “transitioning” process. Because my hair is “relaxed” or permed straight, I’m letting my hair grow out which means no more perks baby! This might be hard but so far I’m loving the transitioning looks I’ve learned. Check me out below 😀

I learned about these looks from a great YouTube channel that I stumbled upon through my Facebook news feed! Meme’s Natural Hair Grind has amazing tips, tricks and suggestive product! Check her out!

In other news, since this is a FASHION blog lol I am loving Solange(Beyonce’s younger sister) new add campaign for Madewell clothing store. I dream of my hair looking as full, curly and crazy as hers! She looks amazing in the madewell stuff too. They have really cute preppy looks and great silky, flowy tops too! Check her out!!

Artist Spotlight: Regina for Nails by Regina

Sooo as we all know, the Internet can be a very interesting and unusual place but under all the craziness is a ton of talented designers, artists and total superstars. During a brief session of insta-viewing on my instagram app, I stumbled onto an amazing artist with a unique canvas base…NAILS!

This unique diva is Regina a nail tech based out of Miami, Fl. and has been making a huge name for herself locally and world-wide. Being the girly-girl I am, I couldn’t help but be intrigued by the different ways she manipulates clients nails with amazing colors, shapes and inspirations. Her designs are HAWT, FUNKY and FRESH, influenced by different works of art, fashion designers, musicians, and unique creations that inspire the things she sees day to day. Her work inspires people to continue to work hard on their craft no matter what it may be because you never know where it can take you!
Check out some of my faves from her work!
