This is actually one of my favorite events of every year because I love to see what the attendees choose and what the designers created to fit the theme. This year’s theme is “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between”
Rei Kawakubo is the 74-year-old designer behind the fashion label Comme des Garçons, which she started in Tokyo in 1969.
She started Comme des Garçons, which means “like boys” in French, because she was working as a stylist and couldn’t find any clothes she liked.
She is known for her experimental and unorthodox designs and the ability to change the way people look and think about beauty, good taste, and fashionability.
Although I don’t really feel like the attendees represented Kawakubo’s edgy & over the top design style, check out my favorites in their ode to Ms. Kawakubo!
Listen! I would wear this walking down the street being all types of extra! I love this look on Priyanka Chopra by Ralph Lauren.
Rihanna always gets it right! Wearing a Kawakubo design & dsquared2 shoes.
Blake never disappoints! Love this look by Atelier Versace
This Chanel pant suit on model Cara Delevigne is SUPER dope!
Yasssss Cassie! And I love her statement earring
Rita Ora in Marchesa
Tracee Ellis Ross also in a Kawakubo (comme de garçons) look!
Love Zendaya in Dolce & Gabbana! She looks like a total doll!
Ashley Graham in H&M and she looks gorge!

Despite the crazy award mix up with Moonlight and La La Land, not to mention Halle Berry’s lopsided wig at this year’s Oscar Awards, there were still some fabulous looks on the red carpet this year that I absolutely adored. Those looks pretty much go to Janelle Monae, , Hailee Steinfeld, and Viola Davis.
But y’all know “After the show, it’s the After Party” so the REAL fabulousness came out during the Vanity Fair Oscars After Party. Check out my favor #VanityFairOscarsParty looks below! Tracee Ellis Ross
Oh how I ALWAYS adore her!
I love this metallic number with the accompanying of the side cut out. Hailee Steinfeld
I loved her sexy but modest looks on and off the red carpet!
I love the exaggerated shoulder with the pop of color, and even though her dress is sheer, the under dress still covers her nicely.
Another dress with great pop of color! Flirty and modest!
Who were your Oscars Red Carpet or Vanity Fair After Part looks?

Cee you soon! ❤
Back at it again with the gowns! Now the Golden Globes are absolutely NOT my favorite type of award shows because I prefer a little more excitement, but I can never miss what is going down the red carpet!
All the looks I chose for my favorites aren’t your typical dresses, i.e. Super long trains or overly bedazzled. These pieces are a bit whimsical, highly couture-esque and reminds me a lot of the theme Ana Wintour chose for the 2016 the Metropolitan Museum of Art Gala, “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology.”
Check out who made the list!
Jessica Biel in Elie Saab
Janelle Monae in Armani Prive
Olivia Culpo in Zuhair Murad
Naomi Campbel in Atelier Versace
Kerry Washington in Dolce & Gabbana
Who wore your favorite red carpet looks?
I know I am late but sometimes when your LUPUS acts up, you have the take some time to yourself, but I’M BACK!
So the theme for this year’s Met Gala was “China: Through the Looking Glass”. I am not too sure if most people really get the idea of how you are suppose to dress for this event. The Met Gala supports the Costume Institute’s Fashion exhibit, so the focus is to fit the theme, be over the top costume-like. Of course you want to be elegant, but creativity is the most important piece of the event! It seams like everyone has a see thru dress, which has been over done and you can find a sleek gown anywhere!
Check out some of my favorite looks based on the them of the event. These looks incorporated the simulation of fans, Chinese military armor, high neck collars and more.
I hope you are having a fabulous weekend so far! Today I pose to you a questions.
What do big hats, sassy outfits and horses all have in common?
Doesn’t sound familiar, well it would if you were going to the Kentucky Derby. I have never been but everyone who goes looks so gorgeous! I am so not there for the horses and the betting but I am definitely here for the fashions! Check out some looks you could go for if you were to attend.
What will your Kentucky Derby inspired look be?

Hope you all are having a fabulous last day of your weekend! So I am going to be completely honest. I was not hype about this collaboration of Lily Pulitzer and Target! While Target is my absolute favorite place to get sucked into, lol, I have never been a fan of Lily Pulitzer. Printed ducks, horses, dogs and other animals all over my clothes weren’t my preference at all, so you can image my surprise when I checked out the look book for the latest collection.
The brand seems to have steered away from animals and have some great beach friendly and spring/summer inspired prints. The collection features some amazing rompers, dresses, chic swimwear and cool accessories. And she didn’t forget about the plus size girls! To which I am here for that! The collection launches on April 19, 2015. Check out some of my favorite looks from the collection!
Yesterday was an amazing evening! I was able to attend my first Florida hosted Memorial of Jesus Christ! It was such a great feeling to be reminded of how Jesus gave his life for imma giving us the opportunity to no longer deal with sickness and death and be able to live forever in peace on a restored earth. Battling This Chronic Illness Lupus and dealing with End Stage Kidney Disease can really take a toll on the most happiest person, so I really appreciate a moment as special as this. Of course, I couldn’t go to the Memorial looking any ole’ way, so I settled for some mixing of prints.
Mixing prints can be a tricky task of you don’t do its right way. I chose an easier route, focusing on pattern and color, by having a solid patterned top with a printed pattern skirt paired with neutral accessories!
Check out my outfit of the evening!
