This Week in Chic!

Heyyyy my Fabulous Friends!

I have been neglecting you all so much and I am so sorry for that but it is all for good reason!
I made a huge life change by picking and moving out of Connecticut and into the forever sunny and sometimes rainy (as I have recently experienced) Florida!
It has definitely been an adjustment but so far I love it! The area is great and I am so close to all my fashion needs Most Importantly lol.
I have been scoping out some pretty amazing looks from Instagram though! Check them out below for this week in chic!

Red, White and black all over!

Hey y’all

So apparently Mother Nature is having some serious mood swings because this Saturday was absolutely GORGEOUS! Me on the other hand, I was stuck inside at work while everyone else either cooked out, ran races or shopped tax free weekend in Massachusetts.

I, however, did not let the lack of fun bring me down. I was able to rock this super cute top I had gotten from H&M a while ago and forgot all about it!

Check out my look of the day!

Silks and Surprises!

Hey y’all

So how about this gloomy, yucky Friday we just dealt with in Connecticut?! It’s was pouring, my pants almost got socked and I hate when my toes get wet but thank goodness I am currently rocking some braids as a protective style so late when it got super humid, I was in good hands!

I was dressed up for a super special occasion, a surprise bridal shower for one of my coworkers! The look on her face when she walked in was priceless! She had been all stressed out but we showed her a great time, got her some snazzy wedding gifts and a few rounds of martinis! The best part is we got her fiancé in on it and she had absolutely no clue what was going on! It was awesome!

Check out my look for the evening! And yes I pulled out my all time favorite leather jacket, I’m never retiring this thing lol it’s a Classic!

Weekend Review: 4th Annual Strut 4 Autism Fashion Show

Hey y’all!

Let me just started off by saying how dang-on hot it was this weekend! I am not built for the type of heat that makes pizzas y’all and Connecticut had it! Lol. While my skin was frying, I was absolutely honored to be invited to a spectacular fashion event for an amazing cause!

The 4th Annual Strut 4 Fashion Show, where charity meets fashion was produced by Carmen Veal of Sani Auri Swimwear and Hope 4 Autism, Inc.

The show featured many talented local designers and business women who I did not know existed right here in my own backyard! It’s amazing how much talent exists in Connecticut and I am proud to be bringing it to my readers! All Proceeds from the show were to benefit the Hope 4 Autism Wellness Center’s Autism Play Groups. Hope 4 Autism is an organization offering services to those living with autism and those affected my autism.

Here’s some hotness from the runway!

Weekend Review: Ricky “Trendy” Da’Vista’s Wear What You Fear Fashion Show

So this past Saturday, I had an amazing opportunity to cover the 4th Annual Wear What You Fear Fashion Show produced by Ricky “Trendy” Da’Vista. Ricky is a wardrobe stylist, accessories designer and morning host of “Trendy Tuesdays” on Hot 93.7 radio.

Not only did the night focus on fabulous fashions but also on health awareness with the American Lung Association. The show partnered with the Northeast division of the American Lung Association to increase awareness about the Emphysema disease, a lung disease that destroys lung tissue, reduces the elasticity of the lung and leads to the collapse of the airways, making it difficult to breathe. Partial proceeds of the show were donated to the organization.

The Wear What You Fear Fashion Show was hosted at the beautiful Bill Miller’s Castle here in Connecticut and showcased some of the top emerging designers of Connecticut! It was so nice to see Connecticut step up and step out onto the runway with some amazing fashion designs. Some of the designers included Chinnyere McPherson of La’Rose Faschinn Designs, Stacy Lawes of Stacy Lawes International, Carmen Veal of Sani Auri, Bertha Angelo of La’ Moo Deisgns, Yseline Suarez CEO of Vice Versa Boutique and Matthew Reisman of MistirMr.

Check out some of my favorite looks from the red carpet to the runway!
