4 Ways to Adjust your Style to your Weight Gain

4 Ways to Adjust your Style to your Weight Gain

Hey y’all! So I’ve been STRUGGLINGGGGG! lol

After a few surgeries & different treatments to try to maintain my health from #kidneyfailure and managing my #lupus condition, I have not been feeling the cutest and have grown a little pudge. SMH. This hasn’t been easy, especially as a blogger that talks about style, you kind of have an obligation to look great DAILY, even when you may not feel up to it or have clothes that fit! Not to mention once you’ve gained a bit of weight, sometimes it’s hard to except that you can’t fit into your once favorite designer jeans and designer blouses.

Before you start to see those gym results #pushthru, instead of buying a new wardrobe, add pieces you can wear during your transition stage. Handbags ALWAYS fit! Who doesn’t love a good shoe? When can you ever go without some statement jewelry pieces? And don’t forget accessories!

Fall is my absolute FAVORITE season and since I live in Florida, I’ve had to switch out my favorite outerwear pieces for a bit more weather friendly things.

Check out some of my favorite styles that don’t require #Spanx lol

1. Convertible bags

2. Chunky heels & Over-The-Knee (OTK) Boots

3. Statement Jewelry

4. Hats & Scarves

What’s your favorite size-less fashion pieces?
Tell me, tell me, I wanna know below!

Fall Favorites

Fall Favorites

“I been gone for a minute but I’m back with another one” – Lil Kim
Haha, hey y’all, it’s FALL! My absolute FAVORITE season! And even though I am in Florida, I am still getting my fall essential and you can’t tell me NOTHING! Even in warm weather, you can incorporate fall fashion into your wardrobe either by color choices or adding one fall piece to your look…or all pieces if you have air conditioning lol. Check out some of my absolute favorite pieces.

First of all this color is just amazing! Super easy way to add fall in without stepping out of your comfort zone from your head to your toes!

Everyone needs a good hat! Either to mask a bad hair day or add some sass to your look!
I’m in love with these boots! Over the knee is such a great way to dress up a casual outfit and perfect with leggings or a skirt. I especially love that they are available as a flat so you can wear them all day, everyday without your feet yelling at you

My favorite handbag this season is the convertible backpack. Chic and stylish for a work day and fashionable for the traveler or student. And don’t tell me this color isn’t amazing?! Like come on now! Lol

Don’t forget your cool jacket! Suede Moto or Varsity can make for some unique outfit looks!

So what are your favorite fall pieces?

Incorporating Dope into your Wardrobe

Heyyyyy y’all!
I know what y’all are thinking..she is a crackhead LOL WRONG! Im not sure if you guys heard of the movie DOPE, but I stumbled upon it on Netflix and I truly fell in love with the flick and brought me straight back to my childhood. I was getting my jam on with the Busta Rhymes song feature and loving the throwback fashion sense of the main characters. And the eye candy didn’t hurt much either lol (Quincy Brown, Diddy’s son fine self and ASAP Rocky looked pretty cute too).

I don’t know about y’all, but there is nothing better than the 90s. From the music to the television shows and most importantly, the clothes! The 90s were when sexy wasn’t showing all your goods, dressing like a cute tomboy and still acting like a lady, not to mention being able to sing along to the words in a song because you actually understand what they are saying! Bright colors and funky accessories..I am totally here for it and ready for the 90s come back. Check out some ways to wear 90s looks without looking outdated!

Spring Fashion Favorites

Hello Hello girlies!
Spring is almost upon us! I know that from hearing from some of my up north people, y’all got a taste of some of my 80 degree Florida weather.
What better way to celebrate spring than to update your wardrobe with some fab and fun pieces! I mean I never need an excuse to shop but welcoming spring happens to be this week’s excuse lol
I know all the magazines and blogs are talking about what you HAVE to have and MUST be wearing, but today I’m just sharing the pieces I love to wear during the spring and into summer.
Check them out!
Jumpers & Rompers
The easiest outfit in the world! I love it because you literally can feel like crap but still look good because you have one piece to put on lol add some accessories (I.e. Statement necklace, chunky bangle, cocktail ring), and some pumps or sandals and you are POPPIN!

Wedges & Espadrilles
Who doesn’t love good shoe?! Wedges and Espadrilles are the cheating way to rock heels! Cute, sexy and most important of all comfortable! Amazing with a pair of wideleg pants or skinnys. Get you some!!

Beautiful Blouses
I love easy to wear pieces. A great blouse goes great with any bottom without looking like you are trying so hard.

Colored Pants
I love a good bright colored pant! You can wear them to work, on the weekend and out on the town when paired with a sassy top! Great with pumps, flat or a fabulous pair of wedges!

How are you getting spring ready? Get out there and getcho spring on!

Grateful for having enough energy to blog from the bed, have to look on the bright side right?! Any-who, I know Instagram can be obnoxious at times but I found some people that I really find to be inspiring, outgoing, persistent and super stylish.
