This is actually one of my favorite events of every year because I love to see what the attendees choose and what the designers created to fit the theme. This year’s theme is “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between”
Rei Kawakubo is the 74-year-old designer behind the fashion label Comme des Garçons, which she started in Tokyo in 1969.
She started Comme des Garçons, which means “like boys” in French, because she was working as a stylist and couldn’t find any clothes she liked.
She is known for her experimental and unorthodox designs and the ability to change the way people look and think about beauty, good taste, and fashionability.
Although I don’t really feel like the attendees represented Kawakubo’s edgy & over the top design style, check out my favorites in their ode to Ms. Kawakubo!
Listen! I would wear this walking down the street being all types of extra! I love this look on Priyanka Chopra by Ralph Lauren.
Rihanna always gets it right! Wearing a Kawakubo design & dsquared2 shoes.
Blake never disappoints! Love this look by Atelier Versace
This Chanel pant suit on model Cara Delevigne is SUPER dope!
Yasssss Cassie! And I love her statement earring
Rita Ora in Marchesa
Tracee Ellis Ross also in a Kawakubo (comme de garçons) look!
Love Zendaya in Dolce & Gabbana! She looks like a total doll!
Ashley Graham in H&M and she looks gorge!

Despite the crazy award mix up with Moonlight and La La Land, not to mention Halle Berry’s lopsided wig at this year’s Oscar Awards, there were still some fabulous looks on the red carpet this year that I absolutely adored. Those looks pretty much go to Janelle Monae, , Hailee Steinfeld, and Viola Davis.
But y’all know “After the show, it’s the After Party” so the REAL fabulousness came out during the Vanity Fair Oscars After Party. Check out my favor #VanityFairOscarsParty looks below! Tracee Ellis Ross
Oh how I ALWAYS adore her!
I love this metallic number with the accompanying of the side cut out. Hailee Steinfeld
I loved her sexy but modest looks on and off the red carpet!
I love the exaggerated shoulder with the pop of color, and even though her dress is sheer, the under dress still covers her nicely.
Another dress with great pop of color! Flirty and modest!
Who were your Oscars Red Carpet or Vanity Fair After Part looks?

Cee you soon! ❤
Back at it again with the gowns! Now the Golden Globes are absolutely NOT my favorite type of award shows because I prefer a little more excitement, but I can never miss what is going down the red carpet!
All the looks I chose for my favorites aren’t your typical dresses, i.e. Super long trains or overly bedazzled. These pieces are a bit whimsical, highly couture-esque and reminds me a lot of the theme Ana Wintour chose for the 2016 the Metropolitan Museum of Art Gala, “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology.”
Check out who made the list!
Jessica Biel in Elie Saab
Janelle Monae in Armani Prive
Olivia Culpo in Zuhair Murad
Naomi Campbel in Atelier Versace
Kerry Washington in Dolce & Gabbana

Happy Monday! I know this is everyone’s dreaded day after the weekend but let’s keep it positive! Fashion always makes me happy and brightens my day so I must share my favorite looks of the week. I know I am a bit late but I just got approved to return to work from medical leave! (Holla/Clap it up for YA girl!) lol.
Check out my favorite looks!
Scarlet Johansson in an amazing one piece jump suit.
Jennifer Lopez looking spicy in Versace.
Keke Palmer in some sassy looks. I am usually not for high slits and mid drifts, but I think she looks amazing! I prefer her long hair to the short look.
Blake Lively in an awesome see through jumpsuit and I LOVE how she covered it without hiding the style.
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. My weekend was filled with dialysis treatment, dealing with my Lupus flare up or joint and muscle pains, so definitely not super fun. I did however get to spend time with my family and finally found an AMAZING Jamaican restaurant in Orlando! Their oxtails were on point!
Anywho, I had to start the week off my sharing with you all my favorite celebrity looks from the weekend!
This look on Adrienne Bailon is my absolute this week. It gives me sexy pin up girl with a major touch of class. I love the mix of patterns bringing it together with nude accents. This look is by designer Valentino
Who doesn’t love a good one piece jumper! Angela Simmons is always stylish and this one piece is amazing. One pieces are an easy on the go look and very easy to pack if you need to travel in style. The only annoying thing about the one piece is you are pretty much naked when you have to go to the restroom lol.
Janelle Monae looks great in this seasons trend of the cropped top and Aline Highwaist skirt. Horizontal stripes don’t look great on everyone but she looks amazing! I love how she always wear some combination of black and white with a pop of signature red!
My favorite celeb and style icon Tracee Ellis Ross, looked great at the Black Girls Rock event. This dress is very elegant, gives a little bit of sass with the split and looks like two dresses depending on which side you are on. She is wearing AzariaLaMode
Some of you may know her from her latest show Black-ish, or as the daughter of the great Diana Ross, but i refer to Ms. Tracee Ellis Ross as my style crush!
I have loved her from the hit television show Girlfriends. It’s funny because although her character was always wearing the latest and greatest designer apparel and accessories, I hated the way her looks were put together. As the show went on though, she just became super fabulous!- not only in front of the camera, but off screen too!
I love her modest but sexy style and her hair is to die for! She never tries to dress like someone she isn’t and although she doesn’t follow the crowd, she is always on trend! She is also super funny!
I must also give credit to her trusty stylist, Annabelle Harron for always keeping her on point!
Check out some of my favorite looks from Ms. Tracee!
